SBDM Council Parent Representative Nominations

If you would like to serve on the 2017-2018 SBDM Council as a Parent Representative or nominate someone to serve, please download the Nomination Form, complete and return to the school by April 18th. The election will be held on May 17th.

LTMS Yearbook

The 2016-2017 Yearbook is now on sale. Any student wishing to purchase a yearbook can send $30 cash or check to the front office. Credit Cards can be used by accessing Don't miss out on this deal! 4th Quarter Grading Period

Progress reports are scheduled to go home on Wednesday, April 26th.

LTMS Title 1 Night

Title 1 will be hosting an event on April 25th at 6pm.  There will be a display of student art and information will be given about KPREP testing.  Please come join us in the Art room.

LTMS Volleyball

An informational meeting for any girl interested in trying out for next year’s volleyball team will be held on Tuesday, May 9th.  Ms. Spitz will meet with parents and potential players and give details about camps and the tryout process.

Bryan Station High School Cheerleading

If your 8th grader is interested in joining the cheer squad at BSHS, please attend the clinics on Wednesday, May 3rd and Thursday, May 4th from 5 to 7.  Tryouts will be held on Friday, May 5th from 5 to 7.  Please report to the BSHS gym.

Bryan Station High School Dance Team

If your 8th grader is interested in joining the dance team at BSHS, please attend the clinics on May 22nd, 23rd and 24th.  Tryouts will be held on May 26th starting at 4.  Please report to the BSHS cafeteria.

PTSA Box Top Contest

The PTSA is sponsoring a Box Top Contest for the remainder of the month.  The student from each grade who turns in the most will receive a gift card for Get Air.  The final collection day is Monday, May 1st.  Please make sure your students’ name is on whatever they turn in.

Message from FCPS:

We are committed to helping every student at reach his or her unlimited potential. But we need your help.  No one knows better than you what your child needs to succeed. We are committed to giving you a voice in your children’s education and using your input to drive concrete, positive change.  That’s why you are being asked take five minutes to participate in the 2017 FCPS Family Survey before next Tuesday, April 25. The survey is available online or on paper in English, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Swahili, and Nepali. All results are anonymous.  Each family should have received an email invitation from Superintendent Caulk with a personal link to the survey. If you can’t find the email, you can also take the survey on our school website.  We care what you think about the education your child is receiving and hope you’ll take time to give your feedback.

FCPS Calendar Art Work

Every year, FCPS publishes a school calendar and includes artwork created by FCPS students from all schools and grade levels.  All entries will be on display at the Lyric Theatre from April 14th to the 25th.  The award ceremony is on the 25th at 5.  Congratulations to Fatou Bojang, Caelie Adams, Denisse Virgen and Chanaeya Beatty.  Their artwork will be on display representing LTMS.

Teacher Appreciation

The PTSA will be organizing items for teacher appreciation during the week of May 1st.  Please contact Adrienne Thakur if you are able to provide any items for that week.

Kroger Cards

Please consider listing LTMS PTSA on your Kroger Card and anyone else in your family who is willing.  This is an easy way for parents and families to support the PTSA at LTMS.

KPREP Testing Dates – Volunteers Needed

The dates for this year’s state testing have been officially set for Fayette County.  The five day testing window runs from Tuesday, May 2nd to Monday, May 8th.  It is very important that students be present for each day of testing.  Please make arrangements now for any appointments they may have during this time.  The school is also in need of a few parent volunteers to monitor the hallways and restrooms during testing.  If you are able to help, please contact Ms. Mattingly at

LTMS 2016-2017 Volleyball

If you are interested in playing volleyball for LTMS next year, there is a parent meeting on Thursday, May 12th in the LTMS Library at 4:30pm.  Valuable information about summer camps, tryouts and season schedules will be discussed.  Tryouts will begin the 3rd week of July.  If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Spitz.
